Julian Bailey is a very successful professional driver who drove together with Mikka Hakkinen for Team Lotus as did Ayrton Senna. He is the only driver of all Stig drivers who participated in official Formula 1 races. More interesting is that Julian won his first official Formula 1 points in 1991, when he successfully drove for Team Lotus in the Lotus 102B. Just like Ayrton Senna took his first Formula One victory together with Lotus Formula One Team a few years earlier in the Lotus 97T

Interesting enough Ayrton Senna won his first F1 world championship in 1988 when Julian Baily had his introduction year in Formula 1 at Tyrrell Racing Organisation in below Tyrrell 017 with the Cosworth DFZ V8 engine
In December 1990 the new Formula One Team Lotus was launched with Mika Häkkinen and Julian Bailey being signed for the 1991 season to drive below updated Lotus 102Bs with Judd V8 engines.
